The framers were back today and made good progress.  The remaining joists were added adn the stairs were framed, decking and rim joists installed and then the walls were laid out and a few were placed into position (not final, as shown one is not true).

This evening I looked at how the interior walls laid out – there are a few items that i need to discuss with the contractor in the morning – nothing serious.  Verified that the half bath and master baths will have enough room for the sinks.

On Friday there was visible progress framing. All of the interior basement walls were constructed and the majority of the I-beams were installed.  The more difficult framing around the stairway will be completed next week.  Almost time for another lumber delivery!

On Monday the excavators returned to backfill and grade around the house.  I am pleased with how the house sets on the property!

To allow for the septic line, the location for the geothermal loops needed to be adjusted slightly – after discussing this with the company that sets the loops, this will not be a problem.

The excavators returned on Tuesday and installed the water line from the road to the house.  Our goal was to use 1-1/4″ tubing – but this was special order, so they upgraded to 1-1/2″ – it looks like a fire hose!

Wednesday was the first day where there was no real progress – I am sure that this will be the first of many.

On Thursday the first lumber order was delivered – but the framers were not ready to start.  Tony indicated that they will be there bright and early on Friday – let’s hope!
